ok.... so I tried to remove an old impeller to replace with a 13/16 concord....
and I broke a mounting ear off of the pump...
I dont think its a huge deal.
I bought a superjet a few years ago, and rode it for a year before I realised it only had 3 bolts holding the pump in...
so.... now.
how do I get the dang impeller off?
I had the spline holder clamped to a 400 lb table, and I used an 18" wrench on the the impeller tool... it wouldnt budge.
I could see the driveshaft twisting when I put weight on the wrench.
the last couple I did where much easier.
this is not the stock impeller either, its an older solas... so it has been swapped in the last 10 years or so.... freshwater only...
ideas?
suggestions?
Im tempted to just send it to impros to get it cutback as far as possible too...
out of ideas here, and tired of breaking stuff!
