I was wondering if footstraps are good enough until I can install some footholds this winter? HOw easy are they to install? It looks like I can just screw them down . Let me know what you guys think.

for flatwater riding i would say they get the job done, but not very well. its all i use in the surf, but i ride 100% surf stance.

Be careful just "screwing them down". Use proper anchors. Soaking the foam is a risk.

It is a quicker and cheaper and less "labor intensive" project than footholds, and you may achieve your desired result with straps only.

However, you can't really get away from glass or epoxy if you do it right. Not to mention turf.

Idok showed me some anchors that are glassed/epoxied in that you don't have to drill thru the tray.

They work pretty good. Only about a 10 min install time. Drill in the anchors, put some epoxy on them, let dry and then screw in the straps. I had them on my 750, they worked good, but i like my footholds way better
