Anyone tried the Wamiltons Hood Strap?

Just wondering if anyone has used the Wamiltons hood strap:

It seems like it would be a lot snugger of a fit compared to using nylon webbing straps. I'm not sure how these straps would hold up, but I know Nylon webbing doesn't do too well in the sun and salt.

All I know is I'm glad I had mine last weekend in Georgia. My hood latch broke at some point, but since I keep my straps tight (have to tighten them after they first get wet) it wasn't an issue and I just happened to notice the latch was broken after pulling the hood at some point.

Just use something!

actually butti just installed a stainless wratchet strap that I won at the daytona ride last year from suncor SS....

he mounted the actual ratchet to the dash and it looks GREAT!!!!

I actually just ordered that turnplate and installed it on my ski a couple of days ago. It works great. I love having the option to use 0deg bars or straight bars.

Wow ,that's amazing .is it right next door to your house or something .How did you get the metal grommet into the strap material .Did the buckles come with it or were they lifted from Walmart :dunno:

Heres a pic of mine. I did them with 2 battery straps and some straping material. They are very snug and come off and on real quick.
