anyone seen or used this intake grate before?

This thing hangs down more than any grate I have ever seen. It has to be at least 3/4" past flush with the bottom of the hull. Anybody seen one? Used it? How did it perform? It looks like a speed scrubbing SOB. I stole the pic from someone on PWCtoday, so if it's yours, thanks!

It's on a stock superjet I just got for my girlfriend.

I'll bet that brakes a little faster when u let off the throttle...and good for real rough/choppy water....

I have used them a long time ago for nasty surf nationals, WaterCross of Texas made them.
And yes, watch out when you let off the throttle!
