Has anyone completed a full reinforcement of a RN in one day?
Next week I am off and I am planning on reinforcing my RN. The hull is ready, I removed the ribs and excess glue and sanded the Hull. I got everything ready and I was going to do it this way:
-One side first....wait 24 hrs
-Other side....wait 24hrs
-Hang RN and do the nose.....wait 24hrs
-Flip it upside down and do under pole bracket area....wait 24hrs
That is 4 days which is not bad but I want to save some time as I also have to do the engine and tune afterward. All this and be ready for a Big Norcal Crew ride that weekend.
My main concern is that you want gravity to work for you and not against you. If I do one side and flip and do the other side I am afraid the glass may peel just because it is not dry yet and gravity will take its course.
p.s: I am using fast cured epoxy.
