I guess this is growing up? haha

I have been soo busy with traveling to cali, and now research in Northern Michigan for school that I havent been able to touch my ski in 7 weeks. Its still an empty hull, no turf and a motor that is missing a top end! Ive been lucky enough to get to Ride with the Oside guys back in early may- thanks Eddie and Jerry and once with CGracing in early may too-

but man, it justs get a point in time when i gotta get on my own ski! Its all my fault cause I havent been home since April 28th, but i was just wondering if anyone else still has to shake the rust off their ski? or am i the only lame-o left?

I was sooo close to doing that, just couldn't justify spending more money on another ski... even though it was dirt cheap...

yea i could care less about my ski as long as it floats and runs good...if you spend to much time wrenching you dont get to enjoy the fun part...

I know, there are 2 parts to the whole story... both are out of my hands.

I'm going to just get them back together when my stuff is finished and worry about reinforcement this fall.

Rode the SJ once in the surf this year in March and then tore it apart for re-inforcement. I've taken my time putting it back together, but I keep coming across awesome deals and keep adding to the to-do list to the ski. Everything is finally in and will be done by the weekend :arms:

What started as reinforcement and a pipe has now turned into reinforcement, B Pipe, 780 Big Bore, Pro-tec trim :brap: , and handlepole.... At least I've got to ride my Blaster a decent bit the during the whole ordeal!!!

I'm jones'in to ride my SJ!!!

I rode in March at the Texas Freeride for about 20 mins then crap kept going wrong but I fixed it when I got home. Took it to the lake then blew a base gasket and got swamped with school and finally got it together May 18th but then broke my hand May 19th

I havn't rode yet. New house in 2 months, new boat last weekend, superjet still torn down since later Feb.

Will be riding June 23 for sure.

Sorry to hear Jeff. Nope I haven't been in the water yet either. Family obligations, activities with the kids and house projects. However, now i'm just waiting on jets to show up and the ski can be completed.

My wife asked what I want to do father's day, If the ski is up and running I will be on the water all weekend!

Sounds familiar. I think I clocked more surf time this year than flatwater.

I guess that's a good thing.

Reliability has been extremely poor this year. That's my fault.
A lot of my setup details are going back to stock.

twice a week is good for me... gas is too expensive to ride much more than that.... If there is no surf, we usually don't ride at all... This year has been good to us though.... Lots of swell, just nothing clean. I forgot what a clean wave looked like...

took an 1/2 day off and rode yesterday, rode last weekend, a couple days last week, the weekend before that, and so on and so on...

after a long northeastern winter i needed to get riding as much as i could... i usually get out every weekend at least... from about 11am until dusk, and a few times during the week after work. Summer's too short up here otherwise!
