AM SXR Bond Rail pic's

Decided to give it a try. Turned out pretty good compared to the old riveted covers. Notice it gets rid of the back corner pieces! Got the molding from SteveTec for $50. Pretty easy to do. First pic is the original molding.

i just gtot my sxr home today, tore the caps and rails off, gotta do some glass work and a bit of paint, then my rub rails go on. same ones!

I got some of those rails (or similar) from the same place slut mentioned in his build thread. I think it came out to $42 total for a 24' roll. Check your local auto body shops too...

I heard about it at the body shops too but didn't know what it is called. The guy at PepBoys didn't know what I was asking for either! I would assume by turfing the bondrail, it would adversely affect the handling, although minimal. I suppose for freestyle riding, you want things padded as much as possible.
