I have a seller on ebay that i bought a item from, Paypaled him instantly after the auction was over, and now 2 days later ebay says he's not a registered user anymore and he's not replying to my emails.

He's been a user since Aug. 05, but has 0 feedback. My mistake for buying form somone with 0 feedback, but i only got taken for a grand total of $12 lol

Anyway to get my $$ back or better yet, teach this :clown: a lesson?

you can try to get it back from paypal.... never buy from someone with zero feedback. i guess a 12 dollar item wasnt to bad. but since 05 and no feedback is a bad.

Sorry bud.....you're out your 12 bucks. File a claim with Paypal.

But ultimately, that just delays the lesson to the :clown:

yea, dont get rude with him. i got ripped off the same way with a guy for some motorcycle parts that were $850  i filed a claim with pay pal and got only $550 back:banghead: ...the guy did the same thing only had over 4000 positive feedback and cancled his account:banghead: i guess $550 better than nothing, and pay pal never helps b/c calling them is useless. at least you only got shafted for $12:headbang: sorry its still crappy:bs2:

i got my money back from paypal from the whole courtney ordeal. it takes 45 days, but its only $12..... kinda gives you a little something to look forward to.

btw, after i got my money back from papal, the part showed up the next day

if you paid with paypal, you'll get it back.

TRUST ME!

seller has to provide a tracking number /proof of delivery with 7 days, yadda yadda yadda..

you should be able to get your $12 back easily.

Uh, I beg to differ. PayPal is certainly the Devil and if PayPal has no recourse against the seller, you don't get your money. That is the sad but true case 99.9999999999999% of the time.

...but here's hoping for that .0000000000001%

you only get it back if it is in their account. if they used it or transfered it then you are screwed. paypal cannot and willnot transfer money from his bank account

that is not true, I sold a virtual item through them and the buyer complained even thou it was exactly as described.. had no money in my account and they transfered it from my bank account to his paypal account... Took me 6 months to get my money back from them! buyer would not refund the money and kept what i sold him..

thats weird. it happened to me on a "lost" item and they would not take it form my bank account, but they suspended my paypal account until i let them transfer the money to the guy.

Rule 1: Don't tie a bank account with money in it to Paypal.

Rule 2: ALWAYS use a Credit Card when paying with Paypal. Paypal may not get your money back, but your CC company will.

always always pay though paypal with your credit card
that way you just talk to your credit card compnay and they take the money of paypal

that get them going and they then take the money off the seller

Yup, I want to get you going. :arms:

Because 99% of people doughnuted by Paypal beg to differ.

Check www.fatwallet.com, and look at their online auctions forum.

Your case was a very very very lucky exception.

correction, unlucky. some snot nosed kid contested the sale of a ski. it wasn't shipped so there was no proof that it was sent. the kid got his money back. luckly they found the ski and took matters into there own hands.
