Are there companies or people that would rent their freestyle skis 2 foreigners to compete on at world finals????? Lets say $1000.00 :biggthumpup: or whats the options....;>

I mean its practise and 2 competition runs and thats it.

If anybody made a turn in South Africa when an event was on,anytime!:biggthumpup:

But how does it work in the states coz its really DAM expensive 2 take a ski over and back for an hours ride or so.....this is my question?

Jermey Phillips (a local to you) shipped his motor over here for a couple competitions a couple years ago and I let him use my hull. I have also let the Vissers use my Blaster a couple times when they were hear for competitions. I don't have any custom hulls or anything, but I never charged any $$. As fas as I know, when Wadle went to Bali no one charged him when he rode their ski. Again, I have nothing special as far as skis, but if someone is making the effort to get here from another country, to pomote the sport or better the sport, they shouldn't have to pay.

When the Oceanside contest and the Pismo contest were going on, I believe there was a lot of foerigners borrowing skis without paying. Of course wold finals are another story.

I am sure there is a CO. here that would sponsor you (IE have a boat ready)for world finals if you are competing PRO. I would send vids & pics. to people like RIVA, BLOWSION, 24/7, LPW, Wamiltons and so on. I am sure you will find a ride. If I had a boat worthy, I would simply say "pay for any repairs if needed afterwords, go flip this mother ----er".

Thanx 4 the posts guys, Its good to know there are enthusiasts out there and from the guys who helped our freeriders out,THANK YOU FROM A SOUTH AFRICAN.....

Ive struggled 2 years to get freestyle up and runnin here and finally we hav our 1st national in front of my house here and 2 wakeboats to copy the world finals format....Im really glad and its worth the effort(First sa champ then world ranking.... I believe in steps)

I just like 2 plan ahead! b4 sept hopfully.

So whats best in your opinion daytona freeride or havasu....this has 2b a gentle subject!?

Isnt there a world freeride event at daytona or is it at oceanside.... which is best 2 ride at? has anybody ridden mavericks(california bigwave) spot yet some hull brakers there!

Here blaster are the majority 2 some extention.....and whats this im hearing about James Visser quiting and going bodyboarding????

Oh blasters are fun,not as much as a standup but still a good combo 2 have...

Yip,Carbon everything almost... just the carbon cost him about R32000.00 so about $4000.00 but its rad!

You freeride guys got me thinking now,buying a new ada 989cc cylinder and the all the rest????just go freeride and go ride over there with you guys will cost me the same...... freeride or budget lake-ing....

Expensive......no way its a never ending pit,an abiss which sucks my green blood without ever saying thank you or 10feet air on flat water......

It so expensive its a life altering choice,beaches or lakes which need rain to fill them up,and never any real bikinis at the lakes...;> my bad! im a born and raised freerider which went inland...... stuff this im gona play with my budget not spend it on 1 engine mod which is next year not even competitive....:skull2: :skull2:

a lot of anger is from lack of beaches......:haha:

Both is the only way to go. If I was capable of keeping more than one running at a time, I'd be willing to share.....but that's simply not the case. There are a couple of us down with getting inverted.

The rotation feels so much slower on a blaster its scary!
