ahhhhhh! fuel everywhere!!!

i had some carb tuning issues first then i cleaned the carb filters and put the carbs back on i try to start it and fuel only squirts out of the high speed jet on one carb. i left the ski alone for a few days because of work. when i came back the whole damn engine up to the carbs airfilter and bilge was full of gass!!! what!!?!?! what is the problem? what gives?? hahah fml

Needle and seat is stuck open allowing the motor to fill with fuel.

Drain it and just use the old fuel in your mower.

check both N&S, for snags and sharp edges on the sides.

i had that happen to me but my primer line from reserve popped off and 1 week later im 5 gallons short in the tank and 5 gallons of dirty gas had to be siphoned from the bottom..

And if you have a fuel selector knob, make sure to turn it off while not in use.

good advice!
also crack your gas cap so that
tank doesnt build pressure when cool fuel warms up.
that alone can start a siphon through the carb
with poor sealing needle

i was lucky i guess. only about 2 1/2 gallons. but it still filled alot of the bilge and my engine up

loosin the cap till u hear it hiss letting any built up pressure out..this way any pressure build up in tank will let out thru the cap instead of forcing fuel thru a line and out someplace else...

no not that. how do i fix my N/S problem? [/QUOTE]

Really?

replace with oem new from a Mik rebuild kit

Go spend 30-40 bucks to fix the problem?

Why not take the N-S out, stick a q tip in the seat to check for snags.

Remove needle and check for snags. Polish up the seat and sides of the needle with some fine Scotch Brite.

Well thats what I did, and problem solved.

just opened up the carb. i sprayed everything down with carb cleaner and made sure my needle and float were working. there was some blockage but it moved freely after a good lube. i am going to try it out now...
