Blowsions is still kinda heavy. 3DR makes one also, but it is a race only design. SE speed majic has a lowered one. Check with Malone he may have one also.

I have a full carbon 3DR race hood with added air intakes. Construction, craftmanship, fit, & finish is all excellent. I really need to weight it because it's feather light. I used this hood on my 03 sxr for 4 seasons in all conditions. It's held up great with only light stress cracked from surf riding. Last year I built a surf boat so the 3dr is now for my race boats. I'm thinking about a Trinity hood for my surf boat. I've used some of Bobby's stuff and it's top notch. It all comes down if you need a race hood or freeride/freestyle hood.
My choices
Race hoods-1. 3dr 2. blowsion
freeride- 1. Trinity 2. Blowsion 3. Wamiltons

Be sure to check out what Trinity has to offer. I think Bobby will build some less expensive hoods that are built of s-glass/Kevlar hybrid material rather then his Carbon, and Kevlar Layup witch is 1k. Carbon and Kevlar hood is 8lbs, but the s-glass/Kevlar would be probably 3lbs heavier.

I talked to Bobby and i am going to go with the carbon/kevlar one. He is a super nice guy to deal with. I can't wait to get it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
