advice on stabs please

its carbon Kevlar and i got it from us composites. i use dow foam under it to shape it, that stuff doesn't absorb water. its the blue stuff that they insulate the outsides of foundations with. Very light. i also reinforced under the bracket area. it still has a bit of flex there so i will use a backing plate this winter.

glass the backing plate in and forget about it!

well i got another cheesy d-roc video of me trying to stab. i want to get good height and i think that slows down the rotation, i am trying to apply the whole body to the outside of rotation and my head pointed into the rotation thing but its hard to drop habits that already learned to get to this point. when i do, i get little distance and a bit more rotation. The small waves helped a bit but i got stop bobbing out of the water like a freaking bobber!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: and my foot why is it out of the foothold all the time:biggrin: i brap it on the way in but i think i am not diving under enough to come up slower, sometime i think i forget to keep going under and back out:haha: oh well i am gonna keep trying them and try to break some bad habits i got going on. Must learn this stab thing so i can move on to barrelrolls:Banane01:

p.s. i will post the link once i get the vid up.

man i would love to, i think there may be a trip to florida this winter. i want to ride in the ocean with sweet beaches, waves, surf, salt, sharks, whatever. i hate the crappy 2-3 foot choppy waves we get, they are spaced like 8' apart to so its hard to setup on them. it would help if we got them all the time so i could get practice but we had like 3 days of waves this whole season, and as the video shows they aren't pretty waves.

Put the nose in the water and rotate your shoulder on off the wake. Go inverted

i dont want to do a fast rotation, almost like a roll type stab. i'm trying to just get a higher, almost floating style. the example i can think of is ratti off old lanier videos where it almost seems like he just jumps out of the water and then twists around. its also like surf stabs. not sure if im describing it the best.

Same process, throw your shoulders just do it lightly. Just try and be as smooth as possible off the wake

Romack, looking good. I would try to do little bit less of a prejump and less angle. rather just unweigh the ski with some brap and crank the bars. I try to get as big of air as i can and have been working on getting my body more to the outside of the ski and pointing with my head. i also have been twisting the ski a bit more by pushing down on the left bar and pulling up with the right hand when the pole is down on the hood. here are pics of lance lakes, it may be hard to tell but his head is starting the rotation and his body is way back around the outside of it, that way the ski will pull you around instead of you trying to get the skiaround if that makes any sence. but what do i know my roll attemps look like yours.
