Acid to eat away the foam?

SXR-FOREVER

Finally Flippin
Thinking about defoaming the SXR, yes I know its styrofoam but my foothold foam and one way foam is soaked!

Is there an acid or anything that will eat away the foam? or something I can use to melt it away?

or do I need to do the good old fashion scraping it out?

2" wire wheel for the big areas, and a 1" wheel for the tight spots....pulug in the power drill and go to town!

i did this in about 4-5 hours....it sucks, but honestly isnt all that bad.....the wheel turns the foam to dust, but it doesnt fly all over the place....

the hardest spot was between the hull and exhaust tube...had to get in there with a screwedriver/paint scraper..some peeps remove that tube..no thanks

Get a saw like in the attachment. A small hand saw. You can get most of it out with the saw. Use a chizzle in the tight areas. You don't have to get it 100% out to look perfect, it's on the inside.

If you cut out the whole tray like Idok did so you can get in there, you can have most of it out in a few mins.
