How does the strengthened ac racing pole compare to the x-metal?
I had my sights set on an xmetal, but saw the ac racing one and it looks similar, although not as sleek (but more so than the umi)
I looked on blowsion and they only have the standard ac racing, with a poor pic so...

cheers guys:biggrin:

I had a AC,they put them on a roller to get the bends, and they dont come out perfect. They haveto weld the steer boss on at a slant to compinsate...atleast on the ones i saw.Id go xmetal

Unless you're really concerned about looks, go with whatever your pocket book allows.

The AC is very flexible, and will not break, not that the X metal one will. Personal preference, and price. The X metal is unconditionally guaranteed, and I have seen one replaced on site in Daytona. Very nice! The AC does not use any cast parts and that is what makes it more resilient, unlike most other poles.

I love my -2 AC chrome with waterddawg chinpad!

It should outlive me.

I use a xmetal pole bracket and have it tightened down good.

I am very happy with Matt Smith's old AC on my SXR. The price was right and it looks good on my ski, and the lowered position it sits in has given me a lot more flexibility in my roll attempts and nose stabs.

I went through a hot products dealer for mine. Can't remember his info though.

But Ziggler is a HP dealer I think?

downside to the AC is many of them come bent form the factory, they tend to rub the side of the hood, like the jig was out when they welded everything up.

Yeah, I think the quality on the AC is nowhere near the X Metal for sure. But for the price, it gets the job done. I just wanted a pole that wouldn't snap on me and was a little sleeker than the OEM SXR pole.

I am on my 2nd pole XMetal Pole, first one was the first generation, ran it for 3-4 seasons with no damage. 2nd one ran it last year with no problems.

most that have broken were from the ski's being tossed and the pole getting smacked down, alot of force there, have not heard of any of the newer poles breaking.
