is there a clean/nice waffle house close - within 15 miles will do !!!... thats all that is needed 2 get the day going!! :smokin:

There is one, but it was by far the worse WH that I have ever eaten at. Service sucked, and the food just tasted nasty....... There is a Denny's right down the street....... It kicks ass.

next time I won't have a few margarita's before I post! I tink I got carried away - but hell - maybe the post r right - just because it is clean does not mean it's good... hxll I live in San Antonio - the best taco's can't be found in anything better then a 1 star place!! I was only trying to find out what was/is around the makai !!

Dennys has to be the worst food ever. Waffle House is a nice drunk people place, i mean really, you can see you food being cooked from your seat.

For you high class ,uppity ,non-tokin ,do-gooders who dont like the grit of the Makai you can stay at The Plaza Hotel just south if there. Its a high end place with a kitchenette in the room. I like the Makai. Yes it's not the greatest smelling room but the hi-jinx they let us get away with is worth the price of admission right there.

I'm booked for 2 days. Sat-Sun then go home Mon.
I'm living in Orlando now since that's where i found a job. I might go Fri night just to party with my dogs and meet new people. If i get off early enough, i'll just bring my ski to work and go straight there when i get off. I-4 Eastbound.

I was told by Caker that the coral next door was a bit nicer. Then I was told by Chris Nascency that Makai is the place to be because everything goes down there. I went to book the makai but they didn't have any more ocean front, so I booked a ocean front room at the coral.

do you plan to sit on the balcony all day??? Last time I was there, the only time I was in my room was to sleep........

Stay at the Makai, support the hotel that supports this ride.

who was the lucky guy?

hardy har har....it was two couples from my old neighborhood....pervert!

I drank too much...passed out on their couch rather than walk the two miles back to the Makai (that whole Daytona Beach serial killer thing kind of scared me!)

BUT I did get awakened by one of the husbands because he wanted me to try to "find" his wife...who was with the other husband .....they had taken off down the beach like 2 hrs earlier and hadn't come back yet...turns out they had both passed out on some stairs leading up to another condo but it was still dark so we never noticed while we were looking for them. Finally found them stumbling home right after the sun came up.

It was a morning of drama...trust me...I wish I had risked my life to walk home :icon16:

There's no drunken drama in Daytona. No one passes out in the wrong rooms or on stairs or in jetski trays. No one beats on other people's doors at 3 in the morning while singing to the tops of their lungs. :sneaky:

It's fine quality family entertainment. (cough, cough, bullsh!t, cough)
