I was finally getting around to making a reservation at the Makai and started reading the reviews, man that place sure was getting ripped by the reviewers. Whats up? It can't be as bad as some people say.

Like Jett said, it is what it is - a bed & a shower. But they give us a good deal & have graciously accepted us each year with very little complaints of the weekend's activities. The setup works great. If you're looking for a anything above a 1 star, move along. If you're looking to have a great weekend of jetskiing & partying, then book your room.

NJ crew stays at the coral next door, cheaper and 10 times nicer... The wifes are happy too. :cheer: I would rather be at makai but its easier to have happy wife. :wall:

you think a decent hotel would accommodate us, let us do stunt shows in the parking lot, set off fireworks, ride 50's around the 4th floor, make noise all night... ect....??? We are right at home at the Makai....

I think we stumble on it by accident. we booked lat and there was not alot of rooms left or something. Its funny because i was over at the makai drinking all night anyways... :439:

You forgot something. Last year a group of fellows did security at the Maki. I hear a bum that came off the streets got ran off. Well thats part of the story.

Guys, everybody needs to support the hotel that is allowing us to be there...... Please insure that all their rooms are booked before you start looking for alternatives. Without the Makai, there is no Daytona Freeride. (unless Nick can find another location)
