A quicker battery backup.

Laptops are fun little toys but I have no need for one at home, sorry.

To each his own...
I just prefer the mobility and not having the 15min UPS backup to "save your work" as opposed to a couple of hours on the laptop battery (or plugged in in the car) with internet access which I steal from my cell phone provider. :dunno:

my lap top is my desk top with external keyboard, flatscren monitor, and mouse. none the less, un install the software that links the batt to the comp. and let it work independently.

seems to work better that way. i keep the battery out of the laptop to keep from killing it and allow for more cpu ventilation

it seems to run cooler. it is plugged into a batt back up (apc) and i don't seem to have his problem. i am not running the back-up software.
