fresh paint? Looks good.

Yes.I am not real happy with it.The Interlux color is nice but when I painted it, it was about 50 degrees and it took forever to dry.Needless to say I have alot of dust in my old shop that fell into the paint.

This was Mike W old ski.

just a little bit

Nice blue! the paint may not look as good to you up close but it surely will look great on the water! you should paint the handlepole cover, maybe a gray to match the hydroturf for contrast or the same blue (or remove it and actually turf that part of the pole) awesome job on the re-turf, very clean looking. the ski's color says "I can move" ~ the best performance upgrade and Hp for your money is NOS, my brother installed it and we found that it helps anything, go with a 15-35Hp shot (anything more on your current setup would create cavitation, you would have to change the ratio of your prop)

Good work ~ go get that thing wet now!! :arms:

Very nice job Scott. I have no clue how I missed this thread. Look forward to seeing it in person and riding with you soon. By the way, nice job lowering that hood. I especially like the turf job:fing02:

I dont know about that.Homework was not my specialty!
I needed one and Mike W had one!
I hope to take some better pics if I can ever get to the water.

Finally got her wet!
Test rode today and it was flawless. The lightend flywheel and bored nozzle were great mods for the buck.
This will be a great year, I can feel it.
Last year was horible due to water in the ebox, exhaust leak, bad fuel sector and a bad reed block gasket that was found a couple of weeks ago.All at the same freaking time!

Now I may not want the big bore and ported x cases I am getting from LPW in July!

That thing looks beautiful!

Did you use brightsides or perfection for the paint? Also, what is the name of that color?

Started off with the perfection and the Qt wasnt quit enough. So I went with the Brightside over the top.
I really liked the color,Sapphire blue I think.
I tried to find graphics for it but opted for just the reg. #s in white.

Odd, I painted 2 ski's with one quart.

I can waste paint like nobodys business!
Its funny the first quart didnt seem to be full.I orginally planned to do it with the Brightside and it did not stick well at all on the bottom.I sanded it off and got the solvent wash and then primer and perfection.
It was my first time with this stuff so it was a learning experience for sure.
I just hope it holds up for what it costs in the end!

The roll and tip method.I did it when it was cold and the dust in the shop settled on the paint.(trash)
If I had to do it agian ,I would do it while it was in the 70s.
