Super Jet 92 Square Nose Build

I picked up this 650 square to replace my Dad's kawi 650sx he rides. He's not a fan of the skulls and lady faces so the plan is to hit the wrap with an eraser wheel and then give it a solid rattle can paint job. I pulled the motor already and it is complete trash. One of the pistons was stuck so bad I couldn't even get it to budge with a framing hammer. I pulled the cases apart to find them filled with mud. No idea how this happened because the inside of the hull was quite clean. Anyway I will be replacing the 650 with a 61x from Wayne at Wetworx. Haven't decided all that is going to go into this thing because I am on a budget, but hopefully a carb, pipe, and impeller, possibly have the CDI "reworked?" Enjoy some carnage, I'll will try update as I move along.

Wet jet manifold came in today so I opened it up to 48mm to match my carb and smoothed out some casting marks down the throat. Will be going with the BMR racing 48 I have since no one has had any interest in buying it. Still have to track down an exhaust so I'll wait for that before deciding a starting point for jetting this thing.

A little update, motor and exhaust came today. Did some cleaning and some painting. It turned out more old school batman than I wanted but stayed with the theme of the build and looks clean. I have to figure out how to support the pipe chamber, seller neglected to tell me the mounts had been cut off....

Got everything assembled this morning. Had to shoe horn it in but it fits. Last thing to do is get an intake grate and the nose piece from tom21. With plugs and gas she's rideable. Ed at full spec was great in helping me set up the carb for what I am running.

what all went into your rattle can job ? im in the process of that now, i sanded it down with 100 grit then wet sanded it with some 320 and then hit it with some sand able primer wet sanded that with 320 then painted it. went with a white like yours but went with a dark gray gloss for pole and nose. this thing should rip and be a great upgrade from a 650sx.
