I have a 90' TS 650 is just recently bought. Took it out for about an hour when I first got it and ran well for a TS. On the second trip a few weeks ago it would run for about a minute or two and the die, as if you hit the kill switch. Would start right up again and then die right away. Put it on the trailer out of the water and started checking for fuel, spark and compression and had all the above. But, while I was checking for spark, I had the front spark plug removed, connected to the spark plug wire and hand-held right above the front spark plug hole. The ski started while doing this test. I put the spark plug back in the hole and the ski doesnt start. remove it and try the test again and it starts???? very strange to me that the ski starts like that. Someone suggested that the CDI unit could be going bad. With that said, I want to test my CDI/Coil but do not know what the Ohm reading should be. Does anyone know what the reading is? Anyone have any suggestions as to what they think my problem may be???
