800SXR water in Engine compartment

It is about the same as the duckbill. I still get quite a bit of water when the ski just sits there. I may have another leak somewhere else as well.

i thought that the versiplug ball closed the hole off when you sat still because the wapter pushing on it, that makes no sense that water gets in b/c then there is no purpose to it i would get that same effect if i just left the value unscrew

Yes, you are correct. I think the problem is when waves crashup against the back of the ski when on the stand is when the ball drops then pops back up. I am looking into installing a very light tension spring on it so that the ball will stay closed and only open when water pushes against from inside the hull.

Versi plugs are much better than duck bills. They don't dry rot or rip like every duck bill.
You have to make sure nothing gets stuck in them just like a duck bill or they will leak just the same.

My Duck is 5 years and 5 months old now. All grown up. Has mastered its job and never ever failed a test.
