760 superjet from the factory

haggis

its raining again!
I bought a rius 760 over here in the uk it was called a superjet rr. It was a stock 760 with a protec mach1 pipe, solas prop 14.5/18 i think? carbon fibre hull extensions, jettrim mats with lifters, yellow piping and yellow graphics. A good starting platform for a race ski or freeride but would i say it was worth the extra cost, hmmmm?

It was banded about at the time of release that they would be ported by rius but they aint, there just stock.

Once i added a rideplate and intake it made a massive differance and ive always beleived that they shouyld have had them from new!

Ran well just fell short an octane by a few lengths over a reasonable straight blast.

I don't know about that. They just added some sponsons and set the pump back a little. Not all that much testing involved there.
The pole setup was not new, just the old setup from the FX1.

A bigger motor would require quite a bit more testing, I think. Will the driveline hold up to the added power? Will the impeller need to change?
Are the motor mounts good enough?
Exhaust?
Carbs?

Its a whole redesign on the bottom of the hull not just sponsons and a set back pump

There is no reason for them to put the 760
