750 Kawi setup

Alright I have never built a 750 but I want to build one for one of my x2s this winter. What combo do I want cases and cyl types. Big pin small pin etc. I know I want to go single carb. I am going to start scouring ebay for parts and want to know what to look for. I just want to build a real strong pump gas freeride/ surf boat. Thanks in advance.

Big pin cases/crank.
small pin (92-94) cylinders.
you're gonna end up getting flat tops probably.
factory pipe.
case porting/cylinder porting.
single 44 through a mani.
msd enhancer.

I can do the cylinder and case porting for you for cheap if you want. I loved the hit of my kawi, but my boat was too heavy.

wot unclehulka posted is a good start , that would make a x2 go pretty well , personaly i would go with a 46mm makuni instead off the 44 .
i have a small pin 780( 750 bored 2mm over) with ported cases v force reeds mrd head and a factory 650 limited pipe on mine and it hit nice down low and screams up top .
hay unclehulka13 i might have to have a talk to you soon about some cylinder porting im in the process off getting the parts togeather to turn it into a 900 and am going to get the cylinder ported and dont know anyone who does porting

the engine that ox has is quite a good deal it would be a good starting point if i didnt live so far away i would like to buy it for just a spare

I agree with Hulka. I would use a 46 Mikuni though. I had my carb done by Head Enterprises and it is AWESOME. Bored it to a 52mm. Easy to tune as well.

Port the thing, try to find a lightened flywheel too. Helps huge.
