I've wanted to put a Type 9 pipe on a 66e and no one has done it so here is the start of my latest debacle. I made an adaptor plate, drilled the holes (I have this designed in CAD but it will cost me over $650.00 for 5 pieces). The adaptor plate is not perfect, its a mockup piece. The exhaust manifold will require some filler welding to be done but thats just work. I played around with mounting the pipe and this is what I came up with for the best postition. Trust me, its scary to take a good pipe and hack it. I would like to mount the engine vertical using a WaterDawg setup. So here is my first mockup of it. I did this same thing with my twin pipes for my 800 blaster, but this is for my 927 I am building for my other blaster. Any ideas will help. I can move the gas tank back towards the engine for better weight distrabution.
