66e 1000cc SJ Jap motor on eBay

You know, that's really not a bad price for that motor if it doesn't go up too much. Price per HP has got to be pretty cheap compared to other options. What would a stroker lamey cost with all the included equipment?

the motor is setback pretty far.....Front end must be pretty light - that motor, as configured in the picture, doesnt weigh much more than a 62T -

is it bigger in china and japan than here? How come the big freestyle guys are american

fujisawa, watanabe, lenzi, stone, burgess they aren't american and are big names in freestyle

the reason the big freestyle guys are american are because some of the riders in other countries cannot afford to send there stuff over to compete at world finals.

through the efforts of the IFWA and other bodies, lesser known people with the same if not better talent are being given the talent to participate in events that are given worldwide recognition, events like the IFWA World Tour

Dude, that's one of the best posts you've had recently, spot on. IFWA is truly becoming international IMO, holding events all over. Next they need to go to Japan!

thanks darrin, i have been in this sport for over 10 years and competing for the last 6 and have seen the sport take a nose dive in the last 4 or 5. People like the IFWA and those who put on the freerides across the country are what are keeping the sport alive. they should be the one ruling the competition classes, not those that are influenced by money and corporate sponsorship and what makes for good press and tv coverage instead of good racing

my theory on competition classes are simple there should be two - stock and open

freestyle - anything goes, seperate division for am. and pro and thats it

Stock Class - showroom stock except for handling mods.
Open - run what you brung and hope you brought enough

there are so many good competitors that should be here competiting but are not because there boats do not meet the "guidelines" or are in the "gray area" of the rule book.

In a perfect situation I would like to see an Pro-Open anything goes line-up with MAcc, King D, Rius, Erminio, and the other pros and have at it.... granted thats what the gp class is for.... but the gp class should be the open class and they should do away with the open class or atleast keep it for novice/am classes

sorry for the rant

ok, the couch rider needs to speak on this.....

up until i believe 05/06 the 1300's had valves

after that they did not have valves. so you both are correct

and to achieve the 1000cc displacement the cylinders are bore .010 over to achieve the increase in displacement.

66E and 66V/60T cylinders are interchangeable

although the 66E does have the more favorable port timing from the factory
