SX/SXi/SXi Pro 650 SX Where to shop parts?

Hey guys new to the H20 world, coming from street bikes. I picked up a running 1988 650sx for 350 bucks which seems to be in pretty good shape. Im in need of many parts starting with a handlepole spring. I was wondering the best place you guys shop parts at. Im also needing all new trim/mats/chinpad etc. Anything you guys can point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Kyle

alot of the old aftermarket goodies are on ebay for good prices, and theres alot of ppl on here with parts and components etc. and dont be afraid to buy another 650sx for cheap. its always good to get a few of'em so you got a parts bin

Ive got a lot of this stuff figured out by talking to john im still in need of a ride plate. Will the x-2 ride plates fit my ski? He wasnt sure and im going to send him some pictures of it. Ive found it hard to find parts for the 650s any ideas?

Any recomendations of a good ride plate that will fit and where to buy? Im struggling to find 650 parts. Sorry for all the noob questions, just gotta get my feet wet (literally)

Hey thanks pro...sorry for the long response time. Mine is porpoising really bad with the stock one. Its hard for my ski to get going without water like glass, it just keeps jumping off the smallest waves or ripples.

I found a trick that really helped my ski stop that for the most part. Just add a 5/16 stainless washer in between the hull and ride plate at the two bolts at the back of the plate. You will have to loosen all the bolts to get enough space but it works really well. It pushes the plate downward at the back acting like a fixed trim. I would also really recommend that if you try this, put blue Loctite on all of the bolts. I've found that they have a tendency to back out, I almost lost my ride plate once because the two front bolts backed out, the plate was hanging there and scooping...I thought it was going to rip off of the hull if I pushed it to get back to shore.

Nope, that's what I used, you only need to make a couple of degrees difference. You don't want to go much thicker because it will put too much uneven torque across the plate. The end result will be either breaking bolts off somewhere down there or cracking the plate as it is only made of cast aluminum. I know it works...I owned the exact ski that I have now and it used to porpoise a ton on the stock plate, since I added the washers to this stock plate I've noticed a significant reduction in porpoising. It does still do it on rough chop but only very slightly, you almost wouldn't know it was the plate for the chop.
