650 sx freestlye?

I got a 650 sx not to long ago its got a few things done like a 38mm carb w primer, intake grate, premix, waterbox and a few other things.

I know with this question everyone will say just get a sqaure nose SJ so i am not looking for that response. Does any body freestyle with a 650 sx and if so what mods do you recommend to do to make a freestlye 650? (besides buy a SJ)

this is my first ski so i am planning on learning some basic tricks and then upgrading to a SJ or SXR next summer.

Get a ss impeller if it doesn't have one. Get a set of lifters to get you by.(no sense in footholds if you're getting a new ski next year.)
Get a pipe. The Coffmans hits pretty good with the sx. A limiter rope would be a good idea too since the sx handlepoles crack fairly easy. A bilge pump is a must also.

What kind of pitch on the Impeller? I got a mariner water box with the stock pipe right now. I saw a few coffmans on ebay though.
As far as the limiter rope i got one on the way.

also I have two 550gpm pumps in there already

Since he has the bilges and a limiter rope already, he should be able to get into a complete Coffmans, lifters and impeller for around $350-400 max if he looks for some deals. IMO.
That's right around where I'd parted out my 650sx parts for.

I'm not gonna blow smoke up your ace on that one. I'm not an impeller guru, so I'll wait for someone with more knowledge in that area to answer that question. If I remember right, mine was a 13/16 or something like that. Most likely don't remember right though! LOL!

They are pieces of foam or whatever that you glue and or screw onto the side of the footwell.then you can stick you feet under them and lift,works kinda like a foothold but easier to install,it won't be as good as a foothold but its better than nothing

650sx and freestyle do not go together. Just ride the rest of the summer and pick up a Superjet next year.

I put footholds in my 650sx and I like them because it does make the ski a bit more fun but its still not anything great.

like i said before all the sx needs is a couple of mods and the motor swap to 750-800cc just like the square. foot holds/straps , limiting strap , fixed steering conversion ( just wait )

Well today I proved the 650 sx might now be suitable for freestyle. I was out in the ocean and hit a big boat wake and came down and noticed the bildge pumps pushing water. I was thinking what the h*ll there shouldnt be water in there from that hit. So i get off and the front end starts going under. We towed it to shore with my buddies 650 sx. I got all the water out of the engine and flushed it for a good while with the hose and it runs fine again.
There is a huge crack and hole right below where the top and lower part of the hull meet in the front under the bumper. i pulled the engine and everything out today. We might be able to fix it but i got another hull so i am transfering that and selling the 650 and just riding my 750 sx.

..... Just thought i would share.

Anything will sink if it has a hole or crack in it sometimes even if it doesn't ask skywalker about that one.

put that 650 motor in an older js 550 hull that 650 is a great motor old reliable and in a 550 hull they are so much fun they are not race boat's but they are a blast for freestyle.
