300/440/550 650 conversion..ya or na?

Well I think I may have ran across a 650 motor with wiesco pistons, aftermarket head, and aftermarket carb for for almost nothing. A friend of a friend has had this motor sitting in his shop for years and he said all it needs is a new stator. SO the big question is, should I swap it into my 440?

I know I need a conversion bed plate, bulk head support or preferably js550 driveline and pump, modified electronic and a few other things, but I'm more concerned with how that 650 motor puts down its power. I understand it is not a high RPM motor from a couple threads, is that correct?

I want low end punch and acceleration out of the motor, so would this be a good route to go to get this? Or should I just sink more money into my 550 motor?

If you have have 650 conversion in a JS hull please tell me your pros and cons.:pancake:

I have one with a pipe and milled head. PSI about 200 and we mix about 20% 110 gas with premium and it has been fun to ride. Currently only using a 16 degree prop and it pulls as good as the ported, milled and piped 550 I had in it. The best part is it runs all day long compared to the modded 550 engine I had in it years ago.

The biggest jump was the milled head and when we run straight 110 race gas the low end hits even better. If you can put it together for not to much I would do it!

is 'sink' the money into a super jet.

Well if my luck plays out right, which it usually doesnt :Flush:, I'm gonna toss it in there, but I would like to know what to expect. I'm wanting lowend grunt for freeriding and screwing around. Not looking to do back flips, just moderate tricks.

I knew it was only a matter of time before I got that response. I actually been trolling the hell ouf of craigslist, but can't find anything reasonable for a college budget.
