62t engine mount.

There is a engine mount that believe people call a "couch mount". Sits center at the bottom of the case. What is it actually called and is there a replacement part for it to run in a standup?

Yamaha calls it a stopper. Part number for a SJ one is 6BA-44532-00-00

There are different ones for different hulls.

I have used SJ ones if you want one;

We typically take them out. I find they rub on the hull inside, and actually cause damage. We do know of many that ride Surf though, that do leave them in.

As evidence of why they are removed, here's something I just discovered in a 2017 RN hull. That's about 1/8th inch deep. I figure sand (from surf water ingress) got under the bumper and turned it into a palm sander. Needless to say, I removed the bumper.

It's actually a vibration damper. Touch a piece of rubber to a tuning fork.......same idea. While it DOES help a little, it's not necessary in most cases. Anybody here ever own a Blaster 200cc quad? Yamaha shoved rubber pads into the cooling fins on the culinder and I believe the head too.....to help dampen vibration. Leave one off inside a 97-99 GP1200 and your arms will vibrate so bad it's unrideable!
