62T cylinder on 61X cases

I'd like to have a back-up engine for the summer months. Summers are too short in Michigan to have a ski down for a few weeks.

I have 61x lower and can purchase a 62t upper inexpensively. I do have the 61x cylinder, but it needs a bore and new top end kit. Cost and the amount of total use that this engine will possible see are driving this question.

Does this combination work? Are there any major drawbacks? It would be used in a WB1.

itll work just fine we have one thats a backwords setup and it runs awesome. has a full season of riding on it so far and starts better than mine

Yes they work fine. Not the optimal setup for port timing and bottom end grunt but still works fine.

Small timing boost and higher compression and you won't know the difference between that and a 61x cylinder
