I did a search and found a few threads about 61x porting but did not find much about 62t porting. Should I just go by what I am reading in the 61x case threads or is there much of a difference between porting the two. Arent they the same minus the intake portion? thanks

You should definetely find threads and pictures specific to T cases, and NOT just go with what's posted about X cases.
You'll be grinding metal away from your engine block - you best had some sort idea how and why you are doing so.

I think my porting thread here had some info & pics. Perhaps I even did a case porting thread, don't remember.

Here are some pictures of the 62T case that I did a while ago. The case was blasted with silicone carbide, ported, epoxy powder coated in black and filled with Devcon aluminum liquid epoxy. It important to use the base gasket for scribing a line on the top of the case and bottom of the cylinder for proper mating between the case and transfer ports when removing material. Also be careful when porting the intake side of the case because the material can get very thin at the roof and sides. This is one of the main reasons to fill the tops of the case with epoxy to strengthen the ported areas and increase gasket mating surfaces for blow-out protection. You can use the liquid to fill the case top and putty to build a ramp were the fingers are.
