62T 701 crankshaft collar assembly

Ok, so I just had the crankshaft for my ET967 (stock stroke) rebuilt at local machine shop. The only issue I'm left with is, they didn't slide back on the collar on which the crank seals sit on. They mentioned that there seemed to be some kind of silicone/sealant where the collar met the crank and weren't sure what I wanted to do there.
My question is, am I ok to press that collar back on dry by using my coupler or do I need to put something in there to seal? Its a verrrry snug fit. I had an old crank in pieces and using the coupler to 'press' that collar on seemed to work...
Oh, and if for some reason this was already covered in a thread, I apologize, I couldn't find it...
Picture of trying to press collar on piece of old crank.

(I can post more pictures later when Im home if needed)

There is an o ring between the collar and the coupler #25. I would put a new collar and grease up your oem seals good too. I tried attaching a picture of the crank parts assembly but the internet is no good were I’m at.

I'll get an O-ring. Got OEM seals. If the current collar presses on tight, any need to get a new one? Do they 'wear' on the OD as well? Don't get me wrong, after spending the money I did rebuilding, I'm not going to start being cheap now

It wont move once the coupler is tight, The seals can wear grooves in collar so thats the main consideration. I would use whatever sealant that was used on the case.
