You simply have a gap between the head and sleeve. The O-ring only is there to stop water and the corrosion it causes. It may be fixed by lapping the cylinder and head perfectly flat. O-ring heads are the worst possible design for a Yamaha, they do better with a crushable gasket. Unfortunately vendors only make what they can sell and riders are in love with O-ring heads.

yeah i was figuring the head was warped but just wanted some input. gonna get it decked and see what happens and i cant get the cylinder decked till i take it apart to rebuild it this winter,

I'm with Kevin... The 2 piece heads are always have been a problem with blowing o-rings with a stock free standing cylinder sleeve block. The ADA is not a perfect head but does work a lot better because the removable domes are thicker than the machined recess in the shell, this give you the added crush you need for a o-ring head to seal properly.
Have the cylinder decked just a couple of thousandth's and get rid of the 2 piece head! Send us your cylinder to machine, order a new ADA head and you could have it back in 3 days with a brand new ADA head! (your in Ocala right?) Or send it down and drive down and pick it up (1 1/2 hour drive or so)

i cant afford a 400 dollar head let along the 2 pistons i need to rebuild my motor, im just trying to get it back together for now for the rest of the summer

and i dont want to risk putting stock head back on it incase i would mess something up, its a pretty hot motor and i probably need the girdle,

this was common on a bunch of old thinner type girdle heads , if you over torque the girdle bolts it lifts the center of the head, kind of bends it over the cylinder , its true with dome heads as well

A band aid approach would be if you have access to a mill, use a large endmill and cut just the water jacket of the stock cylinder about .003 and don't machine the sleeve and this will give you what you need for some crush on the sleeve to hold the compression.

yeah i torque the head bolts to 18 in 2 steps and the girdle to 23 in 3 steps,

and i just got the head back it was warped in th rear cylinder where i thought it was only had to cut off .005, and finally got a sj mod pipe back so will see how she does this weekend.

and this is not a thin head its pretty thick and beefy, its a good 2.5 -3" thick
