61x case idea

i got a set of 61x cases im thinking about doin to mods to them just wanted to get other opnions on it before i waste my time.i think that this may have been done before but would like others input.i wanna cut the stock intake off and machine some peices up to weld to the cases to use a 62t intake setup.will this setup work or am i wasting my time.and i do have a set of t cases but want to build another motor and play around with it

that has been done, ive seen them for sale on here too.

search John Zigler in the for sale section, he had a set last year for sale.

it was common before the t case came out
it would use the kawie 750 intake
i have a friend who has a set
they are not in use @ the time if your intereseted i will see if he will part with them

i have two sets of complete cases already done
i believe they are kawi induction.

61x cases . . . . Port 'em and run 'em or go with 62t cases . . .

All the issuse you have to deal with in bolting them together then bolting them down to a solid surface to arrest the potential for warpage as well as proper pre-heat and post heating were only worth it when nothing else was availible.

Besides all that if you machine the plenum off of the 61x's and weld on a Kawi plenum it'll still come into the cases way lower than the 62t's and won't be that much better than the 61x's and nowhere near as good as the 62t's for flow.

Not worth the effort IMO . . . . .
