I know she's just a stocker, but what parts should get beefed up first? I'm coming from a 550pp, full butch pipe, 44sbn, westcoast head. I don't want to cry because the stock reed is slower, so what do you guys think?

I was going to do this:

#1 Half Pipe
#2 Head
#3 carb (if needed? I don't know...)
#4 port work

Also, what about the driveline? I've got the JS driveline in there now with a bored nozzle, and a 15.5 prop. OR I could put in the stock sx driveline... What is better?

Thanks for your help... I sure hope I'll like the reed over my PP.

like talsivar says, i think i would stick with the stock head, on an old crank. you could maybe mill .015 off, for a little boost. 1/2 pipe is good, i would go with a single SBN 44 carb though, instead of duals. good prop, ect.

BTW i like the sticker on the nose of the red / black ski.

crap, I'm giving my old motor to my buddy. So now I need to buy another SBN.... damn, how much hell am I going to go though to get a manifold for this motor though? the PP motors there are tons of parts for, but reed.....ehhh... Or maybe I am looking in the wrong spot. I'm jumping on ebay right now.

Can you recomend what to do to get this motor to push as much as my old PP, with full pipe, westcoast head, SBN44?? I just want the same or more power...

Yeah the sticker helps out the front end so it doesn't look so plain.... Plus thats where I tell everyone to go so it saves me time and I can just point....

Get a 42mm Keihin. Then you don't have hunt high and low to get a new manifold. Just bore the stocker and be done with it. Mikunis are so ********in' over rated. 550SXMotor.jpg

Thanks fletch, I like your idea, I have tried to hunt down a manifold and it seems to switch to a mik, I would almost have to run duals, from a 750, and cut it apart to make it work. Then run dual 38's. I would much rather run a single.

That flame arestor is for keihins huh? DAMN! I just gave one away with a mik because I didn't think it would work with my keihin, maybe I can be an indian giver and take it back from the guy, because I hate the K&N that is on there now, its fugly!

Also where did ya get that neeto part for the flushing system? I would like one to put on there like you did. Just the part that hooks up the the hose.

I didn't think I would like the clear tubing for the fuel lines, but that looks sweet. Do I need to look for a type of line so it doesn't yellow or crack right away, or so that the gas doesn't eat though it?

Vilder made arrestors for both Mikunis and Keihins. The bolt patterns are different. I think Group K might still have one ior two floating around on thei garage sale page.

I got the garden hose flush fitting from Brian at Ultimate Watercraft. I believe Hot Products distributes them. In which case you dould also mail order one from Zig.

If you are getting clear lines, get the polyethelyne lines, not the vinyl. The vinyl stuff yellows and cracks real quick. There is a guy on EbBay - fuellinedude -- He sells all different kinds of colors. Good stuff. http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZfuellinedude

hey fletch, where was it that you bought the watervalve injection thing that goes between the headpipe and the stinger on your ski?

Yeah more bottom end off the line. It essentially keeps the waterbox "dryer" so you're not trying to blow all that water out of the sytem when you hammer the throttle.

Something like that wouldn't be good with a supertrapp though as you want to run the most water you can though that...or??
