550/650 flatdeck

So a friend and i decided to do 2 flatdeck builds this winter. He has a 440 that we will be flat decking and putting a 650 also in it. I have a js550 hull that i will be flatdecking and putting a 650 conversion in it. On both ski's we will be "attempting" to flush mount the handlepoles and creating new custom handlepoles.

Here is the parts list so far that i have got or will be getting for the ski.
650 engine
bcw intake manifold with sbn 44
rcjs conversion plate
westcoast fuel tank (fill up inside) so we can eliminate the gas fillup outside.
15/19 skat prop
tubbies from tom21
Flatdecked with 3 dakine footstraps
one way valves installed
inside of the hull reinforced as well as the outside after the tubbies are installed.
stock rideplate
pjs intake grate
SS side exhuast
Custom made handle poles
650 waterbox
550 ebox modded

Thats the list so far... i will be updating with pictures as soon as i get back in town..any ideas and all feedback is welcome! Thanks

Made some progress sorry for the lack of pictures but i have been busy with work ski's and help jetmaniac with daytona...
Trays are flatdecked one way valves installed.. we put polystyrene foam in the tray so we had too add braces for the fiberglass incase anyone wonders why it looks like there's metal under the glass there is ! trays are nice and strong though foam is light and cant absorb water....
nose's have been cut out and an aluminum brace added to lower the pole bracket...
also added some foam to shape the mid deck.
Next step is to place our aluminum plates where the footholds will go and put 2 more layers of 1708 ontop.

Looks good! Glad to see another 550 flat deck project. Cant wait to see how the flush mount pole turns out. What are you planning to do with the hood?

Finished building the engine today and got the 650 voltage regulator installed in my 550 electrics with my custom stator wire cover

Digital camera broke but i finished the flatdeck.
Filled the bondline inside the hull and reinforced it with 1708
fixed all the holes in the hull..
Next will be figuring out how to do this handle pole mount ...

Ah want to see the progress. Strangely enough I was thinking about doing this with a 650 hull sitting around today, only thing is I'm not sure I want to dump money into that pit lol.

Inside the hull is painted motor mounts are in and hardware for straps are in.... also been working on polishing the bored reduction nozzle inside as well as the front entry to the pump.. Going to blueprint the Pump stator as soon as i can get the prop off. Tubbies should be in by friday which means tubbies + paint might be done by monday.
