Sure, hopefully you don't have to go buy one after you ride it like I did. I was perfectly happy on my KDX until my friend rode off on it while I was stopping to take a leak and he left his 08 300 for me to ride. I had to have it after that.

I use to ride a 1998 380. Awsome bike! It was a true big bore dirt bike. The only thing I didn't like about it was it's tendency to stall at super low rpms.

pete get down here!

I got space for ya..

I'd like to swap out with you for a bit as well..like to feel what the Rekluse feels like on your bike compared to on my 450exc

but you havent even talked about the best part of that bike yet.

It's all in the jetting on these bikes (Stock SUCKS)... and a recut squish band also helps tremendously. Mine will stay running through seemingly everything as long as you have the throttle cracked open a tad. I usually ride in 3rd-4th gear through just about everything.

Scott, I don't have the button on the XC. It starts easy and doesn't stall with the recluse so I have a 220 pound bike (I weighed it).

Kennay, I remember 1st and 2nd gear were good for digging holes to plant shrubs with the old 380 but get it up to 3rd or 4th and it would go up anything. That was a fun bike. I never would try to start that bike without a good boot on though. It was an ankle breaker.

I thought ALL the 08's came with the E button???? maybe just the exc's??
why did you choose an xc over an exc, just curious???

We weighed the bikes one night at butti's...his 02 was like 225ish with a little gas in it...
My 05 450 exc was 280 on the nose with GPR, Rekluse and FULL tank of gas..

No problem, yeah I have an 07 300xc, my favorite of all my toys :icon16:

sweeeeeeeeeeet

There were no XCW(e)'s left and I wanted an 08 to save $900 over the 09. I also didn't need the button with the auto clutch, it won't stall. I really liked having a super light bike too which it is like 9 pound lighter than the e start. I could have used the wide tranny for some road sections I do but the close ratio is nice in the woods. The plusher XCW would have been better in the rocks but the XC is wicked fun on a couple motocross tacks I hve access to.

I stepped it up to the B-Vet class sunday. It was an NECC race which is kind of like a little GNCC. I got my first holeshot in 15 years and won my class. It was pretty sweet. I gotta hand my holeshot credit to the Recluse. I had the bike in 2nd and with the dead engine start I had the fastest bike to the turn no problem.

Only two weeks to the Unadilla GNCC! (I am totally sand bagging thank you! I can't run race pace for 3 hours with the afternoon racers.)
