30 lbs of water in my tray after riding!!!

After getting fed up with nearly 2 gallons of water in the tray after every ride, I tried to chase down the leaks.
I found my bulkhead had separated from the bottom hull. I sealed that.
I also resealed the one-way valve tube, the steering tube, and both cooling tubes.
I pressure tested the cooling tubes.
I closely inspected the bond line.

In the end, the amount of water after each ride was the same.
When I store my ski outside, it is tipped nose down because I'm too cheap for a trailer jack. I noticed after rain, water would come out of the drains. I concluded that the leaks are mostly on the top deck. :):):):)ty foothold and tray reinstallation I gather.

Yeah, I beat the hell out of my poor boat so I think it is pointless. But i just poured a gallon in the engine compartment and put a chair under the trailer tounge to raise it up and water started coming out the holes almost instantly. I'm thinking the steering hose isn't sealed.

I just drilled through and extra plug and I am going to pressurize the tray to see if I can figure it out tomorrow.

Yeah I hate water in the tray, I drain my Rickter tray after every ride! I think it's just something you deal with.

I know we used alot of 5200 before we closed up your tray.

I mostly notice mine after the ski is upside down, that is why I think its on the exh tube at the firewall. If I rip it on flat water, nothing comes out. Plan on them leaking and you are all set. :)

I don't have 30 lbs of body weight to lose.

Update: Found about 5 cracks and fixed them. Did some glass work on the nose (worst crack), both sides in the back from landing barrell rolls, foothold area, red plug on the firewall (5200'd it), rear bow eye.

If it still leaks i'm done. Just going to run it like it is until i get scott's hull...hint hint Scott!

The person I got the hull from. They were just stress cracks in the tray. I pressurized the tray and sprinkled water and found the crack. It was where the side and tray meet. The crack was about 2 inches into the tray and an inch up the side.

The air test is the bomb. I took an old couch plug, drilled a hole, used my travel air comp with attachment and let it run in the tray. I put water in the engine compartment and looked for bubbles. Which it found.

This is exactly what I was planning on doing to find out where my water is coming in, the versiplugs work very well so it has been on the back burner.
