I've noticed a lot of people use 3 pissers on their ski's. I've only got 2 (one from the head and one from the head pipe tee) where is everyone elses extra pisser coming from?

I'm running dual cooling. One cooling line goes into the bottom of my head pipe, so I have 1 from the top of my head pipe with a T to the stinger and overboard. Then one cooling line split and into each side of the exhaust manifold, and then one line from each cylinder. So, 2 cylinder pissers and one pipe pisser.

Yep, 2 from the head so you can have even temps for both cylinders, and one from between the headpipe/stinger.

Although, I only run one from the head personally...

thanks guys, I was about to build a back flush and wanted to make sure everything was set up correcetly.

What do you guys insert into the pisser when back flushing? does a hose fit snugly?

Someone makes a back flush kit that has an end that will fit right into one of the pissers and flow water back in the opposite direction. I installed a T between my two incoming cooling lines and used a flush kit from a GP1200. So when I hook up my hose it runs both pipe and cylinder cooling lines.

The reason for the GP1200 kit is that I can mount it on my dash... it's got a built in thru hull threaded piece from the factory. Make for a nice externally mounted flush kit that's easy to access.

I thought it was not good to have a single feed discharging into two exits.. (ie. two exits off the head to bypass) I run one water signal into the exhaust mani. and two off the head T'ed into one, then bypass...

so you have a single pisser from the motor? I'd guess one from the pipe for a total of 2. I'm pretty sure I've seen 3 pissers from your old ski, am I missing one?

It just depends on the pressure/flow involved. I normally run restrictors in my outlets to maintain ~120F coming out of the head, so low pressure isn't an issue. Too low pressure can result in localized boiling which will create hotspots, and that's a result of not having high enough pressure going in or too many outlets.

yeah, I sometimes will run a mikuni main jet in the head cooling lines to slow the flow if needed. In the spring the water is pretty cold up here... cooling is not an issue, in fact getting your motor up to temp is sometimes harder. Then I pull them out in the summer when the water temp is back up into the 60's/70's again. I've never had any trouble with pressure on my ski running this configuration.
