With the team bill pole i got it adjusted all the way in and the bars wont go perfectly straight. They are real close so if i just chop a few threads of the end of the cable then i can thread the fittings on a little farther Since they stop way before the threading stops on the cable. I gotta work on the ski tomorrow and put the finishing touchs on.

LOL build on hold until my parts come in...then engine goes together, engine goes in hull, then me and ski go to the lake!!! maybe a week until i get to rip it!?!:fingersx:

There always some a-hole pointing out the little imperfections everyone has... I mean...what?

Ya whats up with that lol.

hey i got a quick question, what did you do to limit the normal/lowered position of your trim nozzle? im thinking im going to weld a tab and thread a bolt on there to keep it from falling too low...

I attached a spring to my nozzle as well to help keep it from flopping up but yes the cable itself prevents the nozzle from going down past the normal riding position. The thrust keeps it straight too but you don't want it flopping around when you let off the throttle either.

my thought on the limiting tab was to take some of the stress off of the cable, i heard of some people breaking cables, or is that more when the trim is engaged?

ski4evr where in MI are you located? i about took my 550 out last week...

The people that break trim cables are using real trim cables which are like one way steering cables...or they have more strength than sense. With the mountain bike cables, the cable just slacks when you land in the water or hit bottom. With a real trim cable, the cable is compressed in landing and if you hit bottom, something has to give.

No I dont' have pictures of the spring on my setup because it's broken. However, I just attached it to the same place as the cable and riveted it to the hull. Then once I shortened the hull, I couldn't do that anymore so I riveted it to the ride plate.

howell. me and a friend were drivin around the other day and i said. hey, lets look at the lake... we pull up to the launch and:eek:mfg: its all water!!!!!

so as soon as my stuff comes in and i get my ski put together im shreddin!!! new oregon scientific helmet cam, samsung hd camcorder, and nikon coolpix for footage of me freezin off my manhood :Eyecrazy:

i think the limiting tab would be a good idea, i cant weld one on tho cuz my nozzle is nylon

John, do you think i need the spring?

You don't need the spring. It helps a little bit in getting going again after a tight turn when you let off the throttle (aka getting back to a setup wake) but you'll never notice the difference anywhere else.

 engine is goin together tonight :biggrin:

i used 3 coats of applience epoxy. i decided that if i did the hole bottom black it would scratch, and look really gay so i just did the sides and under the nose, i think it looks good

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :arms: my exhaust hose finally came at about 5:30, then went straight to work. so about two hours by myself to get where i am now...all i have left to do is hook up water lines, put in chamber (its just sittin there in the pics), mod the hood a little bit to make the chamber fit, put gas in it, and start it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im gonna ride it this weekend :arms::arms::arms::arms::arms: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

and i'm just runnin the stock flywheel with msd enhancer right now cuz the tl flywheel and pickup plate i have dont fit without modding. so i think i might sell that and get another tl setup, rad charging wheel, or put that money towards a truck...which should i do?
