and oh yeah, its supposed to be in the 60's this saturday, so i'll try to get my pole painted, pole bracket area re-enforced, hood done, i hope, and some engine stuf done. =D

so today i ordered my trim cable and lever, got a big arse drill bit, ripped up turf, layd up glass for the nose cover thing, got my handle pole bracket ready to be mounted, and re-enforced the handle pole bracket spot on the hull. i couldnt do any painting cuz it rained all day.

CHUP CHUP!!!!

decided im gonna re-paint in the spring...colors im thinkin are in the sweet pic of me:purr: thinkin the yellow for bottom and pole, sky blue for the topdeck, white turfed rails, chinpad, and bottom of tray. Im gonna keep the black sides in the tray just peel the edges of that turf up for paint then glue em back down.:Banane57:

I have my pole bored out for the 2 inch breather tube:Flush: and my turf came in from blowsion

should i paint my pole before or after i glue it together, the bottom is off cuz when i bought it from mark he was in the process of shortening it... i think before. and do i use epoxy to glue it then rivits?

:deadhorse:

what your gonna get rid of the green/pink combo?

then go to a light blue and yellow.

you enjoy some weird color schemes, not saying it doesnt look good i perfer your new idea but maybe a darker blue for a better contrast betweem the colors

I think you either need to go with deep colors or stick with the pastels... You can't mix and match.

I just painted the bottom of my ski with TCPglobal's acrylic enamel and I'm very happy with it. They have the colors "sublime" and "reflex blue" that will make me wanna puke but might fit what you're looking for...lol :puke:

ya, i saw that sublime stuff... it's not as bright as i want it to be, The color i want is chartreuse. like jonny smith's trinity boat. House of Kolors has it but i dont know how bright it is, it looks really pale in the pic.

And ya, John is right with the color mixing thing. My green right now isnt bright enough to go with the neon pink IMO

should i do any design ya think or just the colors? I'm thinkin maybe some zebra stripes? lol j/k thats TOO eighties. :sneaky:

this is kinda what im lookin for...

that trinity ski is not a sublime green its actully a yellow i think if you look at the other pics of it. (hard to tell) That ski what i want mine like but in a green and super bright like that! its very difficult to find that. I ve tried a few diffrent quarts and cant get what i like :AR15firing:

is the sublime your talking about the chrysler color. like you ski?

and you got me that first ski looks pretty good!

ya, thats the color i want, or if i can get the same colors as the envy in that pic. i sent jetskifever a pm cuz thats his ski. and i sent a pm to trinity composites to see if they know what paint that is cuz they built that boat for him.

i'll let you know if i find out what paint it is, tcpglobal house of kolors has some Neon Enamels ( NE ) they look pretty close

i think his is a little too yellow for me.

I just found my color in a spray can. Duplicolor Grabber Green Engine Enamel. Its a SUPER bright green! like the trinity hull is.(but green)
I painted a peice of a ski and i am going to carquest first thing in the morning.
:Banane57:

noice... my friend painted a bike with that, looks good. you can get some real nice colors with spray paint, i did an old mx helmet just for fun. i could of made it look nicer but i did it in like an hour... hehe

jetskifevers envy is 2 coats of hok chartreuse with hok neon white as primer. He mixed his own blue.

I don't think the zebra would look bad actually. I do think the biggest factor in doing designs is the motivation, confidence, and price... Are you willing to put forth the effort to design, mask, and paint a cool color scheme? Are you confident enough that the area where the colors meet won't look like crap? Last, are you willing to drop the extra money to paint with more than one color.

I did it on my Kawi with rattle can and I think it looks pretty good but it's definately got it's imperfections. It probably cost me over $50 in spray can paint and clear and after only one year of being garage kept...it's showing signs of age and won't last too much longer.

ya, my dad will be painting his ski at the same time as me so there will probably be extra paint, i just hope he decides to do sumthin with black, if not ill just rattle can some zebra stripes.
