Just fitted up a set of destroyers on my 2008 SJ. Definatley NOT a 10 minute install like adds say (if you wanna do it right)..... Thanks to JetManiac for the hookup on the ratchet strap. I went with the latch and the ratchet because if one is good two is great! Have not gotten any water time with the new setup yet but cant wait.....Ready for some serious pismo waves!

I'm considering getting a set for my 08 super jet. Did you have to modify these to make them work. Would they be easier to install with the motor and gas tank out? Is it possible you could scan the instructions and email them to me? I am interested in seeing how they bolt on.

Very easy install just a little more time needed than described. Two people would speed up the process alot, one to hold and one to mark and measure. i did it solo so getting them marked just right was a hastle......Nobody wants extra holes in there nice hull! No mods to the tubby needed at all, these are made for the 08+ hull design. Sorry but I can't scan and send you a copy. Its a simple stainless buttonhead and a washer. Drill 3, 1/2" holes in the correct spot and the bolt threads into a billit threaded washer that has a step machined into it that fits perfectly into the 1/2" hole about 1/8".... But yes to make things much easier I took out the pipe, gas tank, battery, and waterbox. The holes for the very front bolts near the nose are right in front of the waterbox. Save yourself the headache and just take the stuff out first.
