2008 sj color

Were there any other years besides 08 that got this blue color. I know the 98 and 99's were a lighter color blue but how about the other years leading up to black in 04.

i just found this out and wanted to update this post incase some one else comes across this wondering the same. Yamaha color code is the same for the following years. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2008.

the 98 and 99's were a different blue....they were more of a light bluish blue. maybe that is what you were seeing.

i think they should have gone white with black trim from the factory, that would have been sweet.

Maybe, I was looking at it next to a newer Yamaha snowmobile. It looked blue up till it was next to the sled then it really looked purple.

me too.....i actually almost had my 08 painted black but thought that it would be retarded to paint a brand new ski. my last ski was black.

Same color as the 1998 thru 2003 the only difference is the older ones are faded.

It may have a shade more purple in the hood and nose piece.

according to colorite, who is a supplier of factory color paints, the 98 and 99 have one color code, and the 00-03 and 08 have another. here is their website. my friend has a 99 and a 08....way different colors.
