Since I'm good at stupid ideas this week how about another one? Here is a link to where all the pictures are going:
Webcam archive
You might ask why is this a stupid idea. It's on my home Linux server and will affect my internet connection if people abuse it. If it is abused that will also affect getting the pictures from the webcam. So try not to look at every picture. Right now the webcam is stuck so there isn't much to see.

The reason I did this is so if people stand in front of the webcam and note the time they can find there picture there. Nothing like instant gratification.

The times are Pacific time which is three hours less than Eastern time. The file names look like this:
2008_01_09_11_19_32.jpg
The format is year_month_date_hour_min_second.jpg

So if you are out there at 3:30PM on Saturday it would something like (remember to subtract three hours):
2008_01_12_12_30_32.jpg

Look a ahead a few pix and back a few pix just in case your watch is off. Cell phones are good at having the right time.

If the camera gets stuck and the picture is the same as the one before it will not put out a picture. There may be pictures missing.

SuperJETT - I changed it to go every thirty seconds instead of every minute.

You're at the ramp so that's a legit reason. Will the webcam be offline until Daytona?

Considering you're opinion above I'm not looking forward that aspect on Thursday when we hitt the wonderful 40 degree water of the Columbia river under rainy 45 degree skies (with 11MPH wind chill 40 degrees).

I still want to go but summer is so much better.

I might be out west but through the miracle of technology it doesn't matter. I will be snagging all the pix and making time lapse movies each night. Kind of like I've got SuperJETT's back. I will be working hard to make Daytona next year.

Maybe I would be safer in Daytona, I was riding three miles from where a tornado hit in Vancouver, WA on Thursday afternoon:
Tornado article
Let's just say we aren't known for tornadoes out here just boring rain.

First time out in just over a month and first ride of the year. Water 40 degrees, air 50 and partly sunny until the tornado. Starting raining like crazy where I was at.

During the summer we ride on Yale lake 15 miles from Mt. St. Helens. Tornado, volcano it's all good. Can't wait to see how the rest of the year's riding turns out!
