Every year people whine and bitch about the results of these comps...

this guy has poor sportsmanship
this guy has too big a motor
this guy has an illegal hull blah blah blah

I understand the premise of a fair competition..but this just reiterates why freeride rules.:usa2::headbang:

Hey dok, because you do not compete (not a jab) you are not able to see it from our side, the side that competes and follows the rules...

here is something to think about, Ratti competed on his OEM hull and got 6th, I wonder how he would have done had he hopped on the XMetal/Team Scream hull that was there which Parr competed on. But because Ratti followed the rules that we all have this year and years past he may have lost out on running a hull that he possibly could have placed better on....... But we will never know.......... problem being is every year, the IJSBA never follows the same rules, yeah, every year there are different questions about what is considered legal. It is BS, you write a rule book and you should stick to it, and no changes to it once it is printed.
especially not a month before, the APBA did this to us with racing 2 weeks before Nationals last year on some of the race rules.

Congrats to all competitors ! :arms:

Takes alot of time and money to travel and compete !

I give everyone one of you big props, not matter the outcome !

Just wondering... Does anyone know if anyone was Tech'd ?

I have heard in the past if the top 3 or 5, get there heads pulled and
they had to show bore and stoke... wasnt steve (WCF) D-Q' for this ?
I am wondering why anyone was not DQ'd if they were not legal..
:speechless:

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
FYI... My ski is 100% legal.

I am not running a lightweight hull. It weighs in at 115Lbs.
I also had the smallest engine in the top 5.... Stock stroke, 84mm bore=760cc

Congrats bro, its awesome to have watched your clips and vids over the last year of your training and then to see you KICK SOME AZZ at WF's. I could tell you had skilz but didnt realize how good you were. PROPS bro, way to represent US in top 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. :bigok:

the problemn with the rules are the sport is evolving fast and they cant keep up . all nthe riders want them to add aftermarket hulls to the amatuer and now they say ok and now there are complaints. limit it to engine size and all else goes 800cc am and 1000cc pro or 1200 cc . but there 1200cc in pro class and no one is complaining . why because they didnt win . and in am jared got 3rd with a 760 and stock hull so some time there is just talent . the 1st place am would have gotten 1st on a 800 sj stock hull trust me this kid can ride . keep an open mind

see my earlier post, " I always ask myself, could I have beaten that guy had he been on a stock (Legal) boat?"..... But that is beside the point.... Point being the IJSBA changing rules a month before the Finals, that is total BS. Oh, there is nothing on the website about the rule change, at least not that I could find...... which means it is a rule changed by the seat of their pants so to speak......... They have from October 15th (this year) until January (each year)(or whenevery they get the rule book printed) to make rule changes....... after that, they need to stick with them, we do...... hell, 2005, the rule book did not even come out until late march, several regions had already raced, you know what we all did, we talked Patrick Mell into just running the 2004 rule book for all Regional racing..........Like posted above, we need time to prepair, not all of us have $30,000.00 to invest in an EME complete boat, this is amatuer class freestyle, not pro freestyle........ by allowing AM Hulls it makes it harder to afford, oh, and the APBA rule of 900cc(or 850cc) is bullchit also.......... stroker cranks run over $1,000.00 each......
This is just like stock class racing now, there is nothing stock about that class anymore........... $300.00 Pump Cone Assembly, $500.00 CDI's, it is rediculous. Stock was suppose to be just handling components and affordable, not affordable anymore.

Another good reason why I am considering going into semi-retirement from racing and freestyle.

Yup. Even his little sister can beat 99% of people on this forum (female freestyle world champ).
BTW, their daddy can buy any ride they want, including a space shuttle, and the kids were trained by Lenzi.

I totally agree, imagine what its like for our riders, they have to transport their ski halfway around the world, it costs a fortune and takes a long time to prepare for so there is no way they will risk being dq'd so the rules must be in black and white and stuck to until the next rule book is printed.

guess the only good thing is they are not going backwards "oh, that was legal last year or even last month, but not now............ nope, 800cc limit for all freestyle skis"

Comps are just about whos good for that day....thats it any other day in any other place things whould be different.....Anybody who was acually in the water.....how do you feel? cause i know a kid died not too long ago from some deadly ameba in that water.

If one of the competitors has a problem can't they just ask for everyone to be teched??? Seems like someone should just step up and do it. Then when the IJSBA sees almost everyone DQ'd they will set it in stone for the next year. Just my opinion.

Yep, and then you're the guy that got everyone DQ'd and YOU get remembered as being an azz when they're the ones that cheated. There shouldn't have to be someone ask, there shouldn't be a rule change unless it's printed in the book at the start of the year.
