It's crazy that they have to be stock. I would take an XL700. I Bet a 1200suv would guzzle fuel and be impossible to maneuver. No way would I take a 4 Stroke or FI.

I hear they finally gave up I have not been following it ? I sure don't have much sympathy for people that get a radical idea and want to do it when most people say dude that's way to dangerous don't do it. HAHA and then the volunteer's or coast guard have to risk there lives to save them. These water's have a reputation for a reason and this coastline is truly nothing to take lightly not to mention there is no one anywhere to help you.Oh well.

Dude I really respect your courage but you also need to know what you really are in for !
This coastline is so vast and relentless. It could be done the problem is they are throwing you to the wolves the logistic's needed to do this safely are in the million's.

They have 23 check points and are running a trial run last I heard. It is doable and it is winnable. Us stand up guys can out ride a coucher on our laziest day. I am doing everything possible to get this done. I found a partner crazy enough to try it with me.....I may have full sponsorship.....hell yea! Why not?

If you read all the info...they are providing full survival suits and radio beacons and many prepared checkpoints.

going to Alaska is like buying in to a high stakes poker game- buy in, count your money already gone and if you end up with some at the end its a bonus.

Head to AK and keep your guard up, plan on dying, and if you come home its a bonus.
