Then you should quit - seriously: you're totally missing the point. Go to college, learn about stress, go look into the abyss, then go back to the water and appreciate what you've got. What makes you think any of the rest of us have more money to throw into this than you? Are you paying a mortgage? How much other debt do you have? Are you worried about putting your kids through college? Do you work 60 hours a week under enough stress to cripple you and then drag yourself through the weekend trying to recover sufficiently to do it all again on Monday? You have more freedom to enjoy this sport now than you ever will. If it's not fun now then you're doomed.

No YOUR missing the point. I ride a stand up to get away form the same old thing. Doing the same tricks over and over again is boring to me. Which is why I'm always trying to learn new ones. I never said skiing isnt fun. I enjoy it and hanging with my friends alot.

I thought I might sell my ski......some how...I get a ****ing lecture? WTF...

I felt what you said was pretty uncool. I never said i was under a extreme harship or any worse then anyone. I just had the idea cross my mind, made a post i was pretty sure on leaving and you pretty much ragged me on something that didnt apply to my situation. Did I ever say I was in huge debt, or say I worked harder or more then anyone, anywhere in any of my posts did I say i was being put under extreme stress? No I didnt. It hink you took my post wrong and then took it too far and off topic. That was a blindsight coming from someone I have so much respect for

Yes, you get a lecture. There are people around here who like you: people who go out of their way to help you. Not because they struggle to find things to do at the weekend, but because they see a young guy with talent and determination, and they remember when they were that guy. They remember how they got somewhere because someone who didn't need to took the time to help them out. When people like that hear that your thinking of quitting, they feel let down. When I was your age and started talking like that, I got a slap and a reality check, and now you're getting one from me. You'll thank me later.

Brit....I dont mind the reality check...but I think the last offtopic stuff was uncalled for. Furthermore...I am so grateful for all those who have hooked me up and I make sure to let them know it many times over. I know what your trying to do, your post is understandable....your last post was off topic and expressed none of the real points you just made.

You see what I'm saying.

Your first post said one of your reasons was that it costs too much and takes too much time - that's what my post addressed. I don't see what's OT about that.

Whatever. Keep it, sell it: my life won't change, I'm outa here.

Waste/Jessie, in a nutshell, Brit is dead on, that was one of the best reality check post I have ever read.......... I know what you are going through right now......... but he is right............ these are the best times of you life, that what you were just telling me on monday that you did not want to miss out on........... you are not, you are living it right now.......... It is true, once you get out into the real world, yeah, you may be able to do some stuff that you could not do right now, but the responsibility that you will have is enormous...... Stress, debts etc.............

But you did come out saying you were getting out of it....... But none of us actually believe you, neither did yourself when you posted it, otherwise you would not have said anything...........

remember, we are all a huge family here............. even SFL is part of it now, even though he is Twice removed or is it three times, I cant remmember !!!!!!!

My parents arrived home at 3:00AM with my new SJ, and I'm one happy/sleepy guy. I also think I drove Khuna crazy with questions but he's a rookie compared to my staying up late skills.

Anyway it was just as Mike described and not the least bit diffrent. Turf in perfect condition....actually the whole ski was. I'd like to say thign to him and trudy one more time. She even hooked me up with a Hydro Turf backpack, some shirts and other googies. THANK YOU!!

Heading out tommorrow mourning to get my lanyard and oil and then heading to the lake. Here's pics

If you get rid of your ski now you'll regret real soon,, mark my words. I went through college and had a ski. I cleaned classrooms around the college part time at night to pay for fuel when i live in the dorms for 1 1/2 years.
Just put it away and pull it out to ride it when you can. You'll even appreciate the ski more. Dont get rid of it.
