New years eve day was the 1st time I have ridden a REV. I was nervous through the entire build that I may not like it. That would suck since I ordered this hull in pieces and assembled everthing myself (top deck to bottom deck and all) and I had never even road one before.
It was different but nearly to a "T" as Jeff Curry and others described. It rides super light and incredibly adgile. It tosses my azz at mid throttle. But feels great down low and launches out of the water from a near stop FEELS Great. It will take some time to get used to mid to top.
I wil have prolly one more ride on it before Daytona so it will prolly not be my primary boat in Daytona but it will be there.
Set up:
REV hull wet layup & light CF reinfircements.
REV pole -3 per Jeff but measures as a -2 as compared to my other poles
X-metal steering plate and bars w/ some hot products/ kawi steering system
Toby's Ride plate (PIMP)
worx intake grate
144 mag pump w/ 15/19 prop
our foot holds
Protec / Raider / Cats combo trim system.
no scuppers (sit & sink valves LOL)
Tim Judge ported R&D Sleaved 86mm flat top 62T
Standard stroke
Total Loss ignition
B-Pipe mod chamber
Dual 48mm Full Spectrum carbs on Boyeson Mnfld
Speedworx head 26cc domes (210 compression)
Feels pretty good (a little lean but the water is only 49 degrees right now so prolly good for Daytona as is.
I am weighing this boat at work tomorrow and will update this thread.
Wieghed it and it came in at a disapointing 292# dry As a comparison my SJ wieghs 304#
SO FAR SO GOOD!!!!!!!!
