Hey Demo -
Hard to recommend a SN with a locked up 650 in it for $500 over an SXI-PRO.
An SBT 650 would cost him another $700 just to get going, not including labor, assorted parts, time, hassle, etc.:banghead:
He is a newbie and wants to ride, not wrench and hope to ride.
If the Kawi is clean and ready, that would be a much better newbie ski IMHO.

I loved my SXI Pro. Great ski to sub, nose stab, jump, etc.
They are great with footholds. Just get any stand up. You can always sell it and buy one you like more later. Learning on any stand up takes time anyway. It doesn't really matter what you start on.

The only thing they are not so good at is top speed. It is tough to ride em at full throttle for a long period of time. Takes a lot of practice (but makes you a good rider).

:skull2: The only reason that I sold mine is that I fell in love with the SXR. :skull2:

No...I still do not want a superjet at all. I don't like their handling and I don't care about flatwater barrel rolls.

I have a 701 longblock I'd sell for $600 if he did buy it, it'll bolt right up, very little labor involved.

Mayge little labor involved for you, but this is a newbie we are talking about.
Dialing in an engine, especially a different than stock one that would require tweaking of carbs, is not an easy job for a newbie.
