Super Jet 1990 Superjet Porpoising Issue... Intake Grate? Ride Plate? Wear Ring?

I am still learning to ride my 90 SN. I am havering a bit of an issue with it porpoising pretty bad, even in calm water. Would a different ride plate or intake grate help with this issue? If so does anyone recommend any specific brand? OR could the wear ring be possibly causing this? Thanks

I would wait a week before spending money. As long as there isn't any cavitation, ride it a bit more and get your weight forward.

Check out your ride plate and make sure there aren't any cracks or holes. Bust out the sn manual and check tolerance gaps in the pump and for impeller damage.

When you ride it experiment with your feet and throttle application. Get far forward and make use of that chin pad. It's probably nothing though man, just go out and practice and have fun!

Throw a stock intake grate on it and see what happens.

I had the same issue. Solution? Ride more and get your weight forward in the tray. More throttle also helped.

Ride more. It's technique.

When the time comes, a longer ride plate and shorter pole will help your ride more aggressively on the track, but you don't want a longer plate for free-ride.
